South Africa Coins

South Africa Coins, available online at Io Collezionista. This subcategory gathers every coin struck in South Africa and carefully selected by Io Collezionista. The currency in use in the country is the rand, which came formally into circulation in 1961, the year independence was won. From the 1980s the so called big five (lion, leopard, rhinoceros, buffalo and elephant) took the place of Jan van Riebeeck, the first Dutch administrator, in the images that distinguished each banknote. Among the items of greatest interest in the catalogue is a 1 Rand coin of 1966 in silver reading Suid Afrika. The Io Collezionista numismatic catalogue offers a wide selection of Italian and foreign coins, including medals, tokens, vouchers and coin weights, divided into many subcategories, for instance Italy Coins 1979 2015 and Jordan Coins.
