A handsome cover from Sondrio to Milan, franked with a 10 L. Democratica (555) and postmarked "Sondrio 10/10/1943" - two years before the stamp was issued. Signed Sorani. WE WELCOME OFFERS

25/10/1947 - A registered cover to Como franked with 5 examples of the 6 Lire (556), with the postmark of Casanova Lanza (CO) in blue - a place that no longer exists, and uncommon in the blue colour.

6/10/1947 - A registered cover from Cabiate (CO) to Como franked with 4 stamps (two pairs) of the 10 Lire slate (558).

23/11/1948 - A cover from Como, locally addressed, with no franking at all and taxed 30 Lire with three postage dues of 4, 6 and 20 Lire (T100/102/106) - a handsome franking.

3/4/1946 - A cover from Villa Potenza (MC) to Ponte Chiasso (CO), franked on the reverse with 15 stamps of 20c. Democratica (544 x 15). There are traces of other stamps having been removed.

7/10/1948 - A council folded letter from Pontelongo (PD) to Carbonara (PV), franked with a pair of 25c. Democratica (545 x 2) plus a 2 and a 5 Lire (552 + 555), a franking of 7,50 Lire.

8/8/1948 - CARTOLINA ILLUSTRATA " SALSOMAGGIORE POGGIO DIANA PISCINA" AFFR. CON UN 5 LIRE DI POSTA AEREA (A129) ISOLATO PER MILANO.

21/4/1954 - A postal card for vending machines, without the imprinted stamp, franked with a 20 Lire Siracusana (714), with faults. Machine postmark "XXXII Fiera di Milano" of 21/4/1954. The card was sold only inside the Fiera Campionaria, the Milan trade fair; recently offered in a well known auction catalogue at a starting price of Euro 206.00. Rare. WE WELCOME OFFERS

7/9/1953 - An Italian postal card, "Camera dei Deputati" (the Chamber of Deputies), franked with a 20 Lire Italia al Lavoro (642) and the postmark "Roma Camera dei Deputati 7/9/53". Staple holes, which do not touch the franking at all - uncommon.
