14/1/1851 LOMBARDY-VENETIA - 15 centesimi red (Cat. Sassone 3) on a cover from Venice to Treviso, with the mute three-circle postmark (V) of Venice plus a straight-line postmark. (Although the Lombardy-Venetia postal administration did not operate a double-postmark system, between the end of 1850 and the middle of 1851 some experiments were made in that direction and 14 offices used mute postmarks accompanied by a handstamp carrying the place of origin and the date.)
