Italian Republic stamps from 1975, for sale at Io Collezionista. The year 1975, to which these Italian Republic issues belong, saw the passing of law no. 152 of 22 May, better known as the Reale law after the then Minister of Justice Oronzo Reale. The purpose of law 152 was to counter the spreading problem of terrorism, whether anarchist, Red Brigade or neo fascist in origin. It is no accident that the years between 1969 and the early 1980s were later given the name years of lead.
