ITALY 2002

Italy 2002 stamps, available worldwide from Io Collezionista. On 19 March 2002, the year these Italian Republic stamps were issued, the employment law scholar Marco Biagi was murdered in Bologna. The attack was later claimed by the Nuove Brigate Rosse, who intended to obstruct any attempt at restructuring the labor market. Law no. 30, approved in February 2003 under the second Berlusconi government, drew on the guidelines Biagi had set out, introducing greater flexibility into working life. Among the more interesting offers in this subcategory is a Poste Italiane folder containing a 0.41 Euro 2002 stamp dedicated to Padre Pio. The main Stamps category also holds other subcategories devoted to specific historical periods, such as Italian States stamps.
