Thematic: Animals (WWF)

WWF and wildlife thematic stamps, available worldwide from Io Collezionista. This subcategory gathers every issue dedicated to the fauna of planet Earth, from the best known species to those at risk of extinction, and on to the animals of the past such as the dinosaurs. Among the most interesting offers: 5 illustrated postcards from 1957 franked with various "pedigree dogs" stamps, a 5 shilling stamp from 1959 (Somalia) on a registered cover showing a gazelle, and a lot of 12 stamps from 1988 (complete set of 12 (12v.)) dedicated to the marine life of the Marshall Islands. This is one of many thematic stamp subcategories on the site, alongside Mountain thematic stamps and Europa thematic stamps. The main Stamps category gives a complete overview of the Io Collezionista philatelic catalogue.
