Somalia AFIS Stamps form part of Italian Colonies Stamps and refer in particular to the stamps issued during the period of Italian Trusteeship Administration of Somalia, known as AFIS. The General Assembly of the United Nations entrusted the territory of Italian Somalia to Italian trusteeship, the only case in which the United Nations decided to entrust the administration of a territory to a nation that had come out of the Second World War defeated.
