Norway

Norway stamps available at Io Collezionista. The Kingdom of Norway is a parliamentary monarchy born in 1905 from the separation with neighbouring Sweden. Unlike Sweden, however, Norway has not joined the European Union: by a slim margin the population voted twice against any entry into the EU (1972, 53.5% for no; 1994, 52.2%). Among the various items in this category are a prized 3 Skilling grey violet in Norway Stamps 1855/1893; several items dedicated to King Olav V, on the throne from 1957 to 1991, in Norway Stamps 1950/1969; and various souvenir sheets for the Norvex 80 philatelic exhibition together with a stamp for the centenary of the Oslo museum in Norway Stamps 1975/1990.
